HEG Neurofeedback
Hemoencephalography training that supports blood-flow regulation for focus and calm awareness.
HEG (hemoencephalography) neurofeedback trains blood-flow regulation in the prefrontal cortex — supporting concentration, focus, and open, calm awareness.
HEG Neurofeedback helps improve healthy blood flow, oxygenation, and metabolic activity in the prefrontal cortex—the area responsible for attention, concentration, planning, decision-making, emotional regulation, and impulse control.
Unlike EEG Neurofeedback, which measures electrical brain activity, HEG focuses on changes in blood flow. By providing real-time feedback, clients learn to improve activation in areas of the brain associated with executive functioning and sustained attention.
In my practice, HEG Neurofeedback is often incorporated into an individualized neurofeedback program for adults, teens, and older children experiencing attention difficulties, ADHD, cognitive fatigue, executive function challenges, emotional regulation concerns, and migraines.

HEG Neurofeedback uses a comfortable sensor placed on the forehead to monitor changes in blood flow within the prefrontal cortex.
During training, clients receive simple visual feedback while naturally learning to increase healthy blood flow to this important region of the brain. Over time, this learning process strengthens the brain's ability to regulate attention, focus, planning, and emotional control.
Unlike passive treatments, HEG relies on the brain's natural ability to learn and adapt through neuroplasticity.
HEG helps train the brain's executive center through real-time feedback and healthy blood-flow regulation.

Many treatment plans integrate both EEG and HEG Neurofeedback depending on each client's assessment and therapeutic goals.
By improving regulation within the brain's executive center, HEG Neurofeedback may benefit individuals experiencing:
Recommendations are always based on individual assessment and clinical presentation.

Supports sustained attention and concentration.
Helps planning, organization, impulse control, and decision-making.
Encourages greater self-control and adaptive responses to stress.
A non-invasive training approach that works through neuroplastic learning.
Training is comfortable, engaging, and suitable for many adults and children.
Protocols are adjusted according to each client's progress and goals.

HEG Neurofeedback provides a safe, non-invasive way to strengthen executive brain function by improving healthy blood flow within the prefrontal cortex.
Many clients report improvements in concentration, cognitive flexibility, emotional regulation, and mental clarity as the brain becomes more efficient at regulating attention and responding to daily demands.
Because HEG encourages learning rather than forcing change, improvements often extend beyond sessions into work, school, relationships, and everyday life.
HEG Neurofeedback is based on the brain's ability to change through neuroplasticity.
As clients repeatedly practice increasing healthy activation within the prefrontal cortex, the brain gradually becomes more efficient at sustaining attention, regulating emotions, and managing complex cognitive tasks.
Like all neurofeedback approaches, HEG is individualized and integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan based on assessment findings.
